We got a killer hardcore show this week. I am very excited to see the new band from GR called XSHALLOWBREATHX we dont get a lot of hardcore bands like this in GR so this should be a ripper of a show for sure. Its this Wed. at the DAAC check the show listings for all the info.
Also some killer things happening at the Bloom collective. I really never get to this place and they do really provide some cool things to our radical community. I for one need to get over at check it out more often then i do thats for sure. So check out this cool events. I for one really want to check the Art prize discussion because its something if you live in GR you should have some thoughts on it. Is it bad is good or just ok? What harm does it really cause? Well come to the discussion below and find out.
Canning workshop: September 19th 1 – 5 pm. Join experienced canners from The Bloom Collective, G.R. Free School, and Our Kitchen Table for four hours of hands-on fun with fruit and vegetables! Bring jars, lids, a knife, a cutting board, and produce for canning.

Ok some of you may care, but me and Casey of POSITIVE NOISE spent a good part of this past summer making a film called LOCALLY BUZZED its all about the great state of Michigan and Michigan beer. It will showing in West Michigan this Thursday and Friday. Thursday at The Harbor Theater in Muskegon and then the Wealthy Theater in GR on Friday. We are also in Art Prize this year so vote for punks this year at Art Prize keep the money in the scene hahahaha! Ok Steph is back and taking some killer pics last week. Some from the Spits show and some from the killer show at the DAAC this past Tuesday! Labor day should be spent at the killer show happening at the DAAC I posted a flyer below and remember BURNT OFFERINGS is also playing this ripper. Holy shit people so much stuff going on these days. So holy fuck the comp is in pressing. Yes the West Michigan comp test pressings are coming soon. So its a labor day miracle the comp is coming out. Also last nights show was one for the books PLEASE somebody write a review for it PLEASE! I am still without a computer so any help with this site would fucking rule. That said, Dylan from the Oily Menace just put up a killer show review for the latest pothole gathering. Talks about Muskegon, food, and pits. Anyone else who has a show review, get to it. Also the radio show section of this site is criminally overlooked, fucking make one already, or at least listen to one. If you guys can record a punk song you can record a podcast, its not hard.
The first few items are up in the store, its not done by any means but this is another section of the site that is far past due. If you want to consign something of yours like distro shit or shirts, we can put it up and tell you if or when it sold. You’ll have to work with us though, we all have shit to do and building out the store page is not really that much fun.

As some of you may have heard I got my house broke into. Me and Claire lost or computer, and a lot of stuff involving this site, but I still got my health and a positive attitude so fuck it. Some people told me man thats how life is watch your back. All I have to say is fuck that I will never live in a world that accepts that as the norm. People fucking other hard working people over is not the norm. I will never believe that we just act this way and thats it. This world has a lot of great people, and the people who fucked me over are not the norm. So moving on I used to be in a band called I OBJECT we toured Europe back in 2006. We went to Macedonia and played with F.P.O. a great killer HC band. I also put out a record by them. I just got an email from Vasko the singer, and he has a killer new punk band. Vasko has watched friends die, and is trapped in his country unless he can come up with loads of money to travel, and in a very fucked up economy thats very hard. I tried three times to bring F.P.O. to the states but failed everytime because of the people with the power and money. I guess I my stolen I mac is not very important when human lives are threaten the way they are in other parts of the world. Seeing as how life is sometimes disappointing, sometimes you get things stolen. Sometimes you get things stolen more than other people get things stolen and there are even times when people break into your house to steal your things.
Recently a computer was stolen, and it happened to be the one doing most of the computing for this site. So neither Ryan or Claire can manage or read anything you send them, for the time being.
