NEWS WEEK OF AUGUST 31ST

Lots of updates this time. The site has been a little slow as of late because Claire and I were on tour for most of August. Both the RSSD tour and the POSITIVE NOISE tour went really well. We have included some cool pics of both bands and THE AMOEBAS below check it out. Also Claire has written a tour report part 1 in the column section. Awesome shows have happened this past week one being the DEATH CRISIS show in Muskegon. This band ruled and you can check out the show report in that section. DAMAGES also played this show and killed it. They did 4 dates with POSITIVE NOISE on their east coast tour. This band could become the best band in this area if they keep it up. DEAD ISSUE played just the other night and also from what I heard played a great show. The shows have had some energy as of late that is nice to see. Next week is WEEKEND NACHOS and a slew of other killer hardcore punk bands so come out on Sept 1^st to the DAAC. This Friday the AMOEBAS are playing a house show at 156 Lafayette St. in grand rapids. It’s at 9pm and I am not sure who else is playing but should be a good time.

CULT OF REASON local grand rapids punk goth band just did a cd on ON THE WARPATH records. This cd is great if you are in bands like THE WIPERS/JOY DIVISION and later CHRISTIAN DEATH this is something you should check out. They plan on doing shows on a regular basis so make sure you make it out. ON THE WARPATH is a great local label to check out. They are also doing a hip hop 45 series that is well worth checking out. Check them out in the label section on this site.

NOISE ON A 45 podcast has new show up this week another one by Tim Pendergast. Next week I will be back with my new episode that will be all PUNKS BEFORE PROFITS RECORDS 45’s, which is my label, and will mark 10 years of running the label for me.

Ok people we need info on the shows happening in this area. I know shows are happening but I get nothing. Please send us the info so we can keep the site up to date.
