Violence. Does it ever really solve anything? I mean really, you see a person you hate you just want to fucking punch them in the face right? Because if you do that they will realize you hate them, and what then… they change? Fuck no they stay the same and even sometimes get stronger from it. I have been beat up/jumped or just punched maybe 75 times if my life maybe more. Through this my ideas have not changed at all. This includes cops/boneheads/jocks and rednecks pretty much all the same kind of person just different dress. Any way I still feel the same I still fucking hate them all, and at any given chance I will still tell them to fuck off, by no means will I ever shake their hand out of fear.
This has all spawned from a couple weeks ago. I got hit for the first time in a long time. I was pretty out of it, had a few drinks, but was still having a good night. I knew I should not have been keeping the company I was, but still I did and shit happened. Afterwards friends of mine from all over after hearing about what happened have been like “let’s get this guy”. To which I was like “fuck that I want nothing to happen to this guy”. People like this love the circle of violence that surrounds them, it’s what they live for. Look at this on any level do you really think anybody has ever changed anything with the act of violence NO they have not. We wage wars on other countries in return the rest of the world is just scared of us they don’t respect us. In fact they hate us more and more everyday. We live in maybe the worst country in the world because of across the board macho bullshit male dominance attitude it’s really sad. Its sad to see people having a good time on any level and have it be ruined by this. Now I will step back and say that sometimes fighting does happen and sometimes it’s just how it goes. I have had my fair share of being the one, but when I really look at it why did it happen? I truly believe that people can stand up together and make situation better through saying “no you fucked up you need to leave”. But again we ignore anything that does not directly affect us. The idea of fighting your problems out is just such a dated method, and a funny one also. So you punch each other then one stops so you win? Then on the larger level we bomb other countries till they stop or until we get bored then we win? Ok yes this makes sense right? NO. I for one am sick to death of the macho attitudes I see at shows these days, and not just shows anyplace for that matter. It may seem lame to say lets talk it out, but intelligent conversation is the only way you will ever change anything. I understand some people behind that method, and these are the people who use violence as their voice of reason. All in all that’s their problem and I want no part in that problem.
Like I said in the start of this column I have been kicked to the curb a lot in my lifetime and I still fucking hate cops/boneheads/jocks and rednecks. I still will give them a fucking finger if they call me a fag or whatever. Then as they may beat my ass, but when they are done I will do it again. You can’t beat somebody till they like you or agree with you. I can’t beat the bonehead out of bonehead or the cop out of cop. The only way my mind has ever been changed is through intelligent conversation that’s it. Too bad most of the groups mentioned cannot join in something like that, but to be honest I wish they could. I truly believe everybody has something decent to say, but like DROPDEAD said “fucking assholes just don’t get it”
So few columns ago I posted some stuff about a band called SKEWDRIVER a lot of people posted about that. Some thought I was pointing at them, which I felt if very stupid since I was talking about such a large group of people. Any below is you tube video about the band. I just want people to see what kind of band I was talking about, and what it means to support such a band in any way. I grew with this shit and to me it’s very scary. One funny thing about this I mentioned Nazi skinheads to a friend who is not a punk, but has a grandma whom made it out of the holocaust, and when he knew people joked about this stuff you could see a very silent calm man look like he wanted to kill. We need think about things like this before we act like morons. Until next time STAY PUNK STAY PIST!!!!
hey ryry, good words but that video didn’t work
Got it sorry about that.
