Just because you're not "zombified" like the rest (as you described the funeral go-ers in NY), just because you don't take things as lightly as everyone else doesn't mean you have a flaw in personality. Aggression and thinking differently, these things show passion and especially when you can take these qualities, get together with similiar thinking friends, and put music to the background of your thoughts and feelings. I think for myself, I think for the well being of my friends. Anyone that has some kind of opinion pre-fabricated for me, anyone who wants to judge me for what I look like (and this is being aimed more towards a music scene than society's view) can fuck off. I've met too many handfuls of assholes who want to shovel shit in my direction because they don't think I fit in, or I'm just not legit enough. Maybe I don't own enough Ceremony T-shirts, or maybe because my ripped jeans don't have a DK patch covering the hole, or maybe because I don't own that classic Flipper Vinyl means that I'm not punk rock enough. I honestly don't know neither do I care. You know what I say? FUCK their pre-fabricated opinions, FUCK what they think about me because I know that I live for the aggression, I live for fast, loud, and to the point. I live for music I can live my life by with a positive vibe. I will forever be a minor at heart, and anyone who wants to try to come in the way of that can Fuck drunk punks, how can you possibly feel anything for a message being screamed in your face if you're stumbling around and slurring your words. You can't walk or think straight but you're going to try and lay down your views on society, views on something you THINK you feel passionate about? Well keep your opinions to yourself, your mouth shut until you're sober. I'm not by any means straight edge, I just believe that music and drunkness should be kept separate. So ask yourself, are you overly abrasive or crazy? Or are you just passionate about the things you believe in? My best wishes for your friend Will, sincerely.
