1. How do you deal with pressure? It’s pretty comfy to freak out, complain to others, and snuggle into that negativity. It’s fucking tough to rise above challenges and even failures and see them as ends instead of speed bumps. And really if you’re speeding, racing to some end point, therein lies a problem: there is no “there” in life and it really is about smelling roses and learning from problems instead of bitching about them. Life doesn’t have problems, life IS problems. A shift in attitude and action where obstacles become moments of reflection and correction is a big giant fucking break for your mind your body and an upgrade in the overall feelings of fulfillment. Do you ever write something in order to make yourself believe it? When the things you know you need to do get pushed to the outskirts of your mind and garbage takes center stage, you know deep inside what’s important but you just feel like kicking back and not worrying about it. Relaxing rules, but this is about radical relaxation. “Radical” means “getting to the root” and “procrastination-relaxation” is a very different method than the more difficult, but ultimately more rewarding method of taking on heavy stuff and fixing it and being patient and CHILL enough to learn something about yourself, and life. This involves lowering your guard, and may start exploding into chain reactions leading way to a crazy way of running through your days, looking for critique and seeing what you can handle. Sort of reworking what “handle” means and solidifying your structure, so that your base becomes one of open-mindedness and confidence that is ready to take in both negative hits and positive affirmations. A balance that is centered and humble, with appreciation without cockiness for praise and calm acceptance of critique and some looking into why that critique happened. Bettering self, feeling grounded and knowing where your feet are. Fuck yeah.
2. I here it’s dangerous to blast punk music into your ears while riding your bike or walking down streets, especially at night. But how can one deprive oneself of something so instantly rewarding and exhilarating, time after time after time! Foreclosed house after failed business after pothole ridden road is a lot better to pass by with Aus Rotten blaring!!!
